Pools

Pools

RainbowMiner ships with a module for every pool listed here. Choose the pools you want with
PoolName and ExcludePoolName in Config\config.txt, or with
[C]onfiguration->[S]elections; their wallets, usernames and API keys are entered in the
configuration setup or in Config\pools.config.txt, which is documented in
POOLSCONFIG.md.

A pool that is not in this list can be added as a user pool, see USERPOOLS.md.

Click a pool for its notes – what it pays out, and what it needs from you.

ZpoolCoins https://www.zpool.ca/ auto-exchange and payout in BTC, DASH, XVG, DGB and KMD or any other coin that is listed at the pool. Mine most profitable coin, either with auto-exchange to a currency of wish, or mine directly to individual coin wallets. If you setup RainbowMiner with many algorithms, expect a lot of switching. Switching will be by coin.

Notes for NiceHash

If you plan to mine through Nicehash, you need to register an account with them (https://www.nicehash.com/register). NiceHash will provide you with an extra NiceHash wallet/bitcoin address (RainbowMiner will ask for this address during the setup or configuration process).
Payout via Bitcoin-Lightning channel is possible. If you want to see balance details, first create a new API key (My Settings->API-Key) with “Wallet permission->View..” and “Mining permission->View..” enabled. Second add API key, API secret and Organizazion ID to pools.config.txt

Notes for unMineable

unMineable can be mined in two ways, and RainbowMiner supports both:

  • account (alias) mode – the modern way. Create an account at unMineable, then put your
alias into the "User" field of the unMineable section of pools.config.txt (or use
Setup: [P]ools -> unMineable). The worker name comes from the "Worker" field, where
$WorkerName is the default from config.txt. RainbowMiner then logs in as
youralias.workername. The payout coin and the address are chosen in the unMineable
dashboard, not in RainbowMiner, which values the pool in BTC.
  • coin/wallet mode – the classic way. Enter a wallet address per coin ("DOGE",
"USDT", …) in the same section. RainbowMiner then logs in as
COIN:youraddress.workername, one pool entry per coin.

Both work at the same time. If you configure an alias and coin wallets, both variants
take part in the profit switching and your earnings can land on the account as well as on the
old addresses. To mine on the alias only, clear the per-coin wallet fields and
"FocusWallet" – as long as FocusWallet names a coin, the account entry can never win.

Two more notes: the "<COIN>-Params" fields are not used by the unMineable module, and a
mining key is not the same thing as an alias – a mining key replaces the COIN:ADDRESS
part of the classic format, whereas the alias belongs into "User".

Notes for the pools Hashcryptos, HashPool, MinerRocks, Mining4people, Ravenminer and Zpool

The miner can be setup to mine any coin or currency, that is listed at the respective pool. The pool will then payout to the given non-BTC wallet address. Take into account, that non-BTC payouts depend heavily on that coin being mined. If the pool has not mined or is not mining that currency, the payouts will be delayed until the pool has mined the blocks. Read the pools websites, about the mineability and reliability of a currency. It’s recommended to use BTC as any other coin could be removed at anytime and payouts will not occur. The pools MinerRocks and Ravenminer do not have auto-exchange to BTC. Please be careful, what you choose to mine.
